Terms of use
Short, because there is not much to agree to.
What you can do
Read anything here, use any calculator, and link to any page. You do not need our permission to quote us, and we would rather you linked than copied.
What the guides are
General educational information about tax forms and paychecks, written for the common case. They are not legal, tax, or financial advice, and using them does not make us your adviser.
Our calculators are estimates. We test them hard and publish the assumptions each one makes, but an estimate built on assumptions that do not match your situation is still wrong for you. Where a figure matters, check it against the form itself or ask a professional.
What we do not promise
Tax rules change, sometimes mid-year and sometimes retroactively. We update as fast as we can and date what we publish, but we cannot promise every page is current at the moment you read it. Check the date on the page.
We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of these guides. That is the usual sentence in the usual place, and it is also just true: we cannot see your circumstances.
Other sites
We link out, including to some services that pay us if you sign up. We do not control those sites and their terms are their own.
